St Jacques Vikings go in search of their first away victory of the season tomorrow, when they visit Portsmouth.
After last weeks close encounter with Ellingham & Ringwood, where they failed to convert several chances to win the match, they will be hoping to improve on their finishing this week.
Portsmouth have secured one win from their six matches so far this season, but they have also only lost at home once so far this season. Last weekend they produced a strong performance against the league leaders, Havant seconds, before they were ultimately undone in the later stages of the game. They will likely come into the contest with the Vikings with some confidence from that match.
Injuries continue to impact selection for St Jacques, but the good news is that Cameron Le Prevost has shaken off a knee injury to return to the side on the wing.
Several other players are close to returning, which should see them available for selection after the rest weekend next week.
JP Phelan comes into the side after being away last weekend. He replaces Tom Bray who is in the Guernsey Raiders squad this week. James Mroch and Michael Smith join him in the front row.
Back into the side is also Brad Webb. He scored two tries against Gosport & Fareham two weeks ago, and adds a lot of experience to the Vikings pack. Jacob Smith will provide another significant ball carrying threat, he was excellent last weekend.
In the backs, Adam Giles plays at scrum-half. He missed last weekend as he was due to have an Academy Colts match on Sunday, which was postponed due to the bad weather. Captain Tom Veillard continues at flyhalf.
Lucas Barker is unavailable for the trip, Matt Lomas-Lloyd therefore moves to inside centre, and Ed Duerden comes in to start at outside centre. Sam Ferry starts on the wing, with Kieran Creber at full-back.
Kick-off is 1pm in the UK.
